OPAS is a cooperative of farmers and the largest product organization in Italy. Its main activity involves the slaughtering and sale of pigs, carried out according to a certified vertical supply chain. It operates in what is called the Pink Valley: the Po Valley, Lombardy, Emilia Romagna, Piedmont, and Veneto, where three-quarters of the national heritage are located. The mission is to create a product that meets the needs of current customers and positions Opas as a product leader for certified thighs for PDO and export certifications, as well as in the specialization of selling fresh and aged PDO hams.
